Tom got involved in St. Aloysius through a mutual friend, Stephen Fleischer. Stephen, the chairman of the Associate Board, knew Tom from their shared time at Loyola University and met through their work together at Loyola's Campus Ministry. Campus Ministry was one of the catalysts to connect Tom more seriously to service, justice, and of course, Loyola's Jesuit Community. His support and dedication to St. Al's has proven invaluable with his passion for the betterment of the students in Kibera and his strong connections in New York via his law school and his former employer.
