St. Al's Day
It was a perfect day in Nairobi on June 23, 2019 for the 16th Annual St. Al’s Day celebration in honor of the school's patron saint, St. Aloysius Gonzaga. The Mass and celebration was attended by about 500 students, staff members, family members and guests. Rev. Professor Stephen Mbugua, the Vice Chancellor of Catholic University of Eastern Africa, was the guest of honor for the day.
The celebration was attended by six visitors from School of Hope Foundation as part of a two-week pilgrimage. Seven students and staff members from Regis High School in New York City also took part in the day.
During the celebration, nine students were baptized along with the daughter of the School Principal and the infant son of one of the teachers.
Christian Life Communities-Kenya unveiled their five-year strategic plan and presented copies to the Board of Management of the school and the School of Hope Foundation.
Frankline Otieno of the 2018 graduating class gave an inspirational speech for his younger classmates now that he had finished his post-graduation six months of community services and prepares to begin his studies in Special Education at Kenyatta University.
You could see the excitement and pride on the faces of the students as they acted as hosts to family and friends. There were performances from student dancers, singers, and acrobats, all culminating with a delicious meal.
